Woman’s circle with Ceremonial cacao, pelvic floor health and care, followed by restorative yoga and nidra (guided meditation).
Woman can feel isolated and alone when they go through menopause, however thankfully we are all starting to talk and share our experiences more.
Though menopause itself is simply the moment that menstruation stops, the transition generally takes several years. This phase is called perimenopause. During perimenopause, fluctuating estrogen and progesterone levels can trigger a myriad of uncomfortable symptoms. Among the most common are hot flashes, anxiety and irritability, insomnia, fatigue, depression and mood swings, memory lapses, and an erratic menstrual cycle.
This workshop is for anyone Pre, present or post as often the symptoms are the same. We will start with a very relaxed womans circle and enjoy Ceremonial Cacao together. Talking about our experiences helps us to know we are not alone and is a very important part of these workshops , followed by pelvic floor education and care with health coach specialist Beth Davies. Meditation, pranayama, restorative/Yin postures and somatics with Lisa. This workshop will conclude with a Yoga Nidra ( a deep relaxing led meditation).
Yoga can not replace the declining hormones- there is no scientific evidence of this. But it can help with osteopenia by build bone density, strengthen muscles to counter sarcopenia, develop balance to prevent bone fractures from falling, boost your heart rate and brain focus- and by reducing stress it may benefit your sleep, digestion, weight management, mental health and wellbeing.
You will come away with some wonderful coping tools..
Ceremonial Cacao is a daily ritual I have been using daily for nearly a year.
There are many many benefits. 100% raw cacao has over 40 times the antioxidants of blueberries and is full of magnesium which helps to greatly reduce hot flushes and night sweats in menopausal women. It's brain-boosting, mood elevating and works wonders to eliminate food cravings. There are many many other benefits.
Cacao was used in Ritual and Ceremony by our Mesoamerican ancestors and was considered sacred. It is interesting that the ritual and ceremonial use had been lost.
Drinking Cacao in it's purest form allows a deeper connection to ourselves, our own intuition, knowing and inner guidance.
The key raw ingredient of good chocolate, the pod the Mayans referred to as the 'Food of the Gods, is a powerhouse of nutritional goodness.
• Cacao is a rich source of magnesium which supports nerve function, bones, hormone balance, sleep and blood pressure. It is also an important mineral in supporting the body in regulating calcium.
Research has also shown that cacao's powerful antioxidant properties can improve cognitive function and skin health.
Cacao contains Tryptophan which is an amino acid that helps to alleviate anxiety, depression & brain fog, symptoms that tend to cluster as symptoms for many of us in menopause.
Packed with Theobromine, it is a natural mood elevator & can provide lasting energy without the crash.
Hope to welcome you
