Summer is in full swing and many of us will be heading off on our holidays. However, sometimes we find it so hard to switch off. So, it is time to train our minds to be in the present, rather than miles and weeks away. Before you head off, try and start to be mindfulness prior to the holiday, find moments before you have to pack those suitcases to relax your mind.
Think about the blue sky ahead, the beach and the waves lapping up on the sand, feel your mind looking at the sky and hearing those waves, see yourself on that sun lounger relaxing. Become more present and focused on your tasks, whether in the car or in the office, by being present you will be more grounded and more positive, switch off your phone notifications then you can get back to people and connect on your own terms.
Plan ahead and make a list of tasks and items that need to go on holiday with you all. Then relax, feel the wind in your hair, the sun on your skin and the sea on your body.
