What a difference a week makes, did someone turn the cold tap on, autumn is now definitely in the air and the mornings and evenings have become much fresher. I love this time of year. I love the colours of autumn, the change, the shadows as the sun gets lower in the sky and I love snuggling under a lovely warm throw in the evenings.
Autumn is a great time to start again with renewed energy, the kids are back at school, the holidays are over and it is time to knuckle down. I have a number of new classes starting this September, so now is the time to get back into that Yoga routine and feel the benefits of a beautiful flow, some stretching to ease out those joints, deep breathing and meditation to keep us calm. This term I am focusing my practices on core stability and balance, so that we feel centred.
As the nights start to draw in, it is important to keep laughing and to keep our spirits high and our immunity strong, so make sure you make time for yourself this week. Get out in the sunshine, feel the freshness and feel alive, it is a wonderful time of year.
