That lovely part of the practice when we just lie on our mats. Why do we do the Corspe Pose at the end of each class and what are the benefits?
When do any of us take the time out of our busy day to just relax and do nothing, to empty our minds and for a few moments, think of nothing and push all thoughts away. Whilst we are in the corpse pose we can listen to our body and our breathing, which in turn relaxes your body and calms your brain, which helps reduce stress, headaches, fatigue and insomnia. Lying in this pose can also help lower your blood pressure.
So during your next practice before you move into the Corspe Pose remember all the good it is doing to your body.
