Oh, what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day, I love Autumn. I love the freshness in the morning, with the hopefulness of a warm day which then cools down at night so that you can light a cosy fire, put on your lounge gear and just chill. You don’t feel the pressure in Autumn like summer to go out and entertain, you can just vegetate at home and catch up with your reading list, listen to music or totally indulge in a box set whilst eating comfort food.
I love Autumn because my walks are beautiful, you see the mist rising as the sun hits the ground, or fantastic early morning mists, the leaves turning and the magnificent colours developing then dropping from the trees, the reflections are beautiful because the sun rises later and walking at dawn is just a beautiful experience.
What do you love about Autumn?
“There is a harmony in Autumn, a luster in the sky, which through the summer is not heard or seen, as if it could not be, as it had not been!”
– Percy Bysshe Shelley
OK it is official Spring is really with us whatever the weather is doing, especially when we hear that the Beast from the East No 3 is about to descend. The clocks have gone forward, the nights are lighter and we all have that spring in our steps with the thought of lovely summer months ahead.
But, hang on a moment, this means we also have to shed our layers and get the bodies out, who is scared now!! After months of hiding our bodies if you are like me, my skin is feeling dry, it needs some body scrub, I look pale........ where did last summers glow go, all is not lost we just need to spring into action.
It is time to get the body scrubs out, moisturise, moisturise, moisturise and scary option number 2 take all those summer clothes out from the closet. I am going to be looking at how we can all go into summer, healthy and strong over the next few weeks, watch this space.
