As we go through life and our daily routines it is so easy to get caught up with the little things, the little niggles, we start to think that average is good. How often have we said that will be good enough, whether this is exercising 3 times a week, when we really wanted to do 5 times. Eating chocolate when we have said I’m not eating chocolate again. Those are two very simple examples, but you know what I mean. We are at work, a report needs to be written and we aren’t in the mood, in the end we go that will be good enough, average. When did this happen?
I know when I was young I always went that extra 10%. I put that extra little bit of effort into everything that I did, whether that was travelling or my work.
It is time to take stock, we are all more than average and Autumn is the best time to take stock of our habits. Trees shed their leaves so that they can take time for renewal in Spring. We must do the same, stop hanging on to bad habits, let them go, believe in ourselves again, push ourselves again and start striving for that extra 10% in ourselves, average is ok, but finding ourselves and involving ourselves in projects 100% is way more fulfilling and rewarding.
