Yin yoga have you tried it yet? It leaves you feeling amazing, connected and calm.
The term ‘Yin’ is finding stillness and coolness to the body, it is a practice comprised of either lying or sitting on the floor with cushions. It concentrates on stretches for the hips, legs and back increasing circulation and flexibility. The aim of this practice is to activate the connective tissue of the body, each pose is held for 3-5 minutes, which results in a feeling of lightness in the body.
The benefits are many, flexibility, calming and balancing the mind. It also increases circulation in the body and improves join mobility, plus it balances the internal organs.
A superb practice in the evenings as it also stops ‘head chatter’ which then enables us to sleep soundly.
