Yoga retreats what does this mean to you? Yes, yes yes? Not worth the money? Fantastic a chance to get away from the husband and kids for a few days with friends? Or perhaps, an opportunity to practise lots of yoga and meditation?
It can mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people, but for me it is an opportunity to take ourselves away from our day to day lives and develop our own sense of self worth and space. A chance to rediscover ourselves in a beautiful space in harmony with the environment.
I love being able to focus on myself for a few days, in a society where we are on the go 24/7 it is just so liberating. Waking up with an energising Vinyasa Yoga flow just sets you up for the day, followed by some alternative therapy, walks in the beautiful countryside, freshly cooked food, that we don’t have to prepare, then finishing the day in front of a roaring fire with a candlelit meditation, it all really hits the spot. It de-stresses, encourages dynamic thoughts and really makes me ready to face challenges having given myself a little break from the norm.
Why don't you try one of my retreats this autumn or winter - if you are a retreat virgin I promise you will become hooked when you leave totally rejuvenated.
