The seated forward bend, a common pose we do in my yoga practice, the official name is “Paschimottanasana”.
We know it stretches our spine, shoulders and hamstrings as we can feel the stretch as we relax and breath deeply into the move, but did you know it also helps relieve headaches, stimulates the liver, kidneys and ovaries.
It is a wonderful calming move which also helps with insomnia and mild depression, it can improve digestion and can ease menstrual discomfort.
The seated forward bend a simple pose but with many benefits to keep us calm.
"It's all about finding the calm in the chaos"
