Pigeon Pose “The king of the hip openers”, this strong pose has a number of benefits especially as we get older and a little stiffer around the hips.
During our yoga practice a lot of moves are “hip openers” but none more than the pigeon pose which has a number of benefits, yes it is a good deep stretch for our glutes, it stretches the abdomen, thighs, ankle and groin. It also increases mobility in your hips.
Dig deeper though and it stimulates our internal organs, alleviates sciatic and back pain. If you can relax into this pose for a number of minutes, let the pose help you release built up stress, negativity and undesirable energy stored in our core.
Don’t be afraid let this move heal the soul.
“SUCCESS is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day”
